This is what love should look like. This was taken about two years ago. What Alzheimer's has done to their relationship is actually a beautiful thing. It has softened the edges of life, of conflict, of differences, of bad times, and brought them together in a live-in-the-moment kind of way. They don't feel the same kind of tension that marriages today have. There's no financial pressure. No job stress. No children to care for. It's just them and whatever memories they hold in that moment. I will forever try to find the positives in this cruel disease, and this is a huge one for me.
