My Marathon

This was in 2009 at my baby brother's wedding. As I'm starting to gather my research to really be able to tell the story, I realize that my dad was exhibiting signs of dementia even back then. He was as healthy as a horse and as long as we didn't have to talk for an extended length of time, he could cover up the basic memory loss issues with humor. I know at the wedding, he asked several times who was getting married. Everyone just kind of played along. Because that's what you do. Denial was our friend and humor was our saving grace. At this point, they were still able to drive, and managed to get to Ohio safely where the wedding was being held. Definite signs, but nobody wanted to face them.
